Amanda and Jason's Wedding in Paradise

Jason and Amanda were married at the beautiful Paradise Cove in Grapevine, TX. I've never seen Amanda in anything but brightly colored clothing, and the wedding echoed her love for sunny colors. Everything was done in vibrant hues of hot pink, bright orange, and lime green. The color scheme made it into everything including the amazing floral arrangements (commissioned from Blooms Forever) and the cakes (delectably made by Delicious Cakes of Southlake) and candy bar (which was a huge hit). The outdoor wedding was decked out in vibrancy as well, with almost every inch was decorated with amazing brightly colored flowers of all types, shiny hot pink banners of silk, and of course the naturally brilliant colors found at the venue by the lake. Adding to the drama, what started as a warm humid day, gave way to remnants of Hurricane Gustav. As guests arrived, they found beautiful custom fans, and bottled water with engagement photos of the beaming couple. Amanda wore a gorgeous jeweled encrusted gown, and Jason and his men opted for a lightly colored summer inspired ensemble. Just as Amanda made her way to the richly decorated gazebo overlooking Lake Grapevine, amazing winds blew in. Amanda looked a bit worried, but she soon saw that she had no reason to be. Even though the winds were strong, and the skies drew dark the couple and the audience felt the cool relief of much cooler weather. The skies added to the drama, as Amanda's veil danced around. It was so beautiful, and so memorable. Everything was fine though: Just as Jason and Amanda shared their first kiss as a married couple, the skies cleared as if to bless the loving couple.

Andie and Jon's Engagement In Fort Worth

Andie and Jon met us in Downtown Fort Worth to do their engagement session. We started out at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens and then hit Sundance Square to finish up the session.
They needed a few different looks, some more formal, some more fun, and a few strickly funky.
They will be getting married next month, and we look forward to what we know will be a wonderful wedding!

Stefanie's Bridal in Deep Ellum

Stefanie is a chemistry teacher who loves hip hop music, anything red, and having fun. She yearned to have a bridal session in Deep Ellum, so that's just what we did.
She loves the "Dallas Periodic Table", so some kind folks moved their cars for us to be able to shoot in front of it. (It's not your normal periodic table....LOL)
We had a great time shooting, and Stefanie even got an ambulance to stop to check her out when she "thumbed" for an improtu ride!

Amanda's Bridal at the Dallas Arboretum

Amanda was joined by her mother, her future mother in law, and a close family friend during her bridal session with Mike and I.
The day started out cool, but quickly heated up. We knew that Amanda must be awfully hot in her beautiful gown, but if she was, she showed no signs of it.
She looked gorgeous!

Sharee and Jonathan's Engagement

Jonathan missed getting to watch his beloved Dallas Cowboys in order to get these engagement shots done for Sharee. Now that's LOVE!!!! (He did however check the score often on his Blackberry). :-)
We set out for downtown Fort Worth to shoot, and we ended up giggling most of the time, as a "spectator" chose to shout out posing requests for the couple. Ahhh, the joys of shooting in the city.
It waaaaassss funny though!
We managed to lose the man, as humorous as he was, and found a quieter spot to finish up our session. Jonathan and Sharee are just so fun, that Mike and I were actually sore from laughing so much. We can't wait to work with them on their wedding. I just know this couple is going to have a blast of a reception.

We still remember you....

Today is one of the anniversaries of the worst days in recent US history. Mike and I solemnly remember all of those who lost their lives this day, as do millions around the world. We have great sorrow for the families of the thousands of victims.
We will never forget the brave men and women who lost their lives that day, nor will we forget the heroism of so many American citizens. We will never forget.

Mark and Barbara's Beautiful Wedding at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

Mark and Barbara got married at the amazing St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic church in Keller, TX.
Mark is an accountant, and Barbara is a banking officer, so numbers are huge to both of them. It's also huge in the Phillipino culture which is Barbara's backgound. They married on 8-8-08, and everything was done in the lucky number 8 (which is also the infinity symbol-what a cool thing for a wedding). There were 64 total people in the wedding party. There was eight of everything.Barbara looked magnificant in her gown which relatives from the Phillipines had custom made. Each bead was sewn into place by loving hands. (As was her veil).People flew in from all over the planet to see this wonderful couple be untited as man an wife. And the party that followed was amazing! Everyone had a blast.
